FAQ

What's the easiest way to log in?

Question

Should I log in using the site, Firmex.com, or https://login.firmex.com?

Answer

You may log in using one of these methods:

  • Firmex.com login button - Log in to the Firmex VDR to access all of your sites with one login.
  • https://login.firmex.com - Log in to the Firmex VDR to access all of your sites with one login.
  • Site login (company.firmex.com) - Log in to one site only.

Can I still log in using a site’s login page?

Question

I have a VDR site address bookmarked in my browser. Can I still use the site’s login page to log in to the VDR?

Answer

You may still use a site’s address (i.e. company.firmex.com) to log in to the site’s VDR. Your existing bookmarks and shortcuts will continue to work. However, if you have access to multiple sites, logging in using the new login page will save you time by only having to log in once, as opposed to logging in to each individual site.

What happens if I reset my password for a Firmex site?

Question

I have access to multiple Firmex sites. What happens when I reset my password?

Answer

If you reset your password, it is reset for the entire Firmex VDR, not just for one Firmex site.

What password do I use to log in from firmex.com?

Question

I have access to multiple Firmex sites. What password do I use to log in from firmex.com?

Answer

To log in from firmex.com, use the most recent password you used to log in to a Firmex site. This password is your new “global” Firmex password.
If you do not remember your most recent password, reset your password and choose a new Firmex password that will work across all of your Firmex sites.

Who can see my Site List?

Question

I am involved in multiple projects across multiple sites. Who can see my Site List?

Answer

You are the only person that can see your own Site List. No one else in your organization - including your site administrators - can see that you are involved in multiple sites.

What happens if I am logged in to multiple sites and click the Logout button?

Question

I am logged in to three sites, and click the Logout button on one of the sites. Am I logged out of all three sites, or just the one?

Answer

If you are logged in to multiple Firmex sites at once, clicking Logout on one site will log you out of all of your Firmex sites. This is the case regardless of whether you’ve logged in to multiple sites using Global login or via the sites’ login pages.

Why am I seeing a site on my Site List that has no projects in it?

Question

There is a site on my Site List that has no projects in it. How come it is on my Site List?

Answer

If you are seeing a site on your Site List that has no projects in it, you may have previously been involved in a project on that site, but the project is now over. You are still seeing the site on your Site List because the administrator did not remove your access for the site, though you are no longer involved in any site projects.

What if one of my sites requires advanced password control?

Question

One of the Firmex sites I access requires me to update my password every 30 days, while another Firmex site I access doesn’t require me to update my password at all. How does this work with one Firmex password?

Answer

In the case of multiple sites with different password controls, the most restrictive rule is applied to your one password. The next time you update your password, advanced password control will apply to your new password for all of your Firmex sites.
