Hiding folders
On standard projects
On almost all Firmex projects, you can hide folders from groups rather than individual users by creating a new group, moving users into the new group, and then hiding the folder from the newly created group. To do that, follow the steps below:
- In Firmex, click Documents.
- On the left side of the Documents page, right-click the folder you want to hide and select Set Permission.
- Find the group from whom you want to hide the folder. Change the group's Content Role to No Access from the Content Role pull-down next to the group's name.
- Click Apply to Folder to apply the change to the selected folder, or Apply to Folder & Subfolders to apply the change to the selected folder and all its subfolders.
On migrated projects
For projects created before January 2015, follow these steps:
- In Firmex, click Documents.
- On the left side of the Documents page, right-click the folder you want to hide and select Set Permission.
- Click the By User tab.
- Find the user from whom you want to hide the folder. Change the user's Content Role to No Access from the Content Role pull-down next to the user's name.
- Click Apply to Folder to apply the change to the selected folder, or Apply to Folder & Subfolders to apply the change to the selected folder and all its subfolders.
