This tab is available to users with a Project Role of Manager or Administrator.
Project Settings - Details
Note: Industry, Country, and Value fields in the Details section are new as of March 2025. Projects created prior to the update will not have these fields.
Project Name
The name of the project. This is displayed to every user in project communication.
Project Type
Changes the terminology, but not the functionality, of a project. The project type is displayed in the Project list. Read more about terminology and customization here: Settings (Project) Terminology
Industry
The vertical that the data room is dealing with.
Country
The nation from which the data room hosts work.
Value
The worth of the matter that the data room is dealing with.
Project Settings - Contact
Contact Name
The main contact for the project. This is displayed to every user in project communication.
Contact Email
The email of the main contact. This is the email address from which project invitations are sent.
Bounce-back Email
An email address that receives project emails that have "bounced back". For example, if an email invitation has been entered incorrectly, or doesn't exist, the "bounce-back email" will be notified. By default, the Contact Email is the same as the Bounce-back Email.
Project Settings - Configuration
Status
Changes the functionality and visibility of the project.
- Training - Designated for training purposes. All invited users can see and access the project.
- Offline Admin Access - Only project administrators can see and access the project.
- Online Admin Access - All invited users can see the project name, but only project administrators can access the project.
- Online - All invited users can see and access the project.
- Archive - The project is no longer active or visible. Contact Firmex Support or your Site Administrator to unarchive the project.
Numbering Setting
Changes the default numbering schema for newly created folders.
This setting may be overridden at the directory or index level, through the "Edit Details" menu.
- Automatic Numbering - Automatically numbers each folder in a directory using the numbering scheme specified in the Default Numbering Scheme field.
- Hide Numbering and Manually Order - Turns off Firmex’s auto-numbering and allows you to manually number and order folders in a directory.
- Hide Numbering and Auto-Order Alphabetically - Turns off Firmex’s auto-numbering and automatically arranges folders alphabetically.
Apply numbering
Determines whether the numbering is applied to the directory (the top-level folder) or to folders below the directory.
Default Numbering Schema
If Automatic Numbering is selected above, enter the way you would like folders to be numbered. You may choose from the characters A, AA, a, aa, I, i, 1 and use a period as a divider. For example:
1.1.1.1
A.1.a.I
I.A.1.a
A.I.1.1
Upload Terms of Use
Display a confidentiality agreement to all users entering a project. If the user does not agree with the disclaimer statement, they will not be allowed into the project. It can be displayed once or every time a user enters a project. The User Status By User report indicates the date a user has accepted the disclaimer.
