Folder permissions are set by groups in Firmex. To do so:
- On the left side of the Documents page, right-click the folder whose permissions you want to change, and select Set Permissions.
- Find the group whose permissions you want to change. Click the Content Role next to the group's name to open the pull-down menu, and select the content role you would like to change it to. For example, select the No Access content role to hide the folder from a group.
- Click Apply to Folder to apply the change to the selected folder, or click Apply to Folder & Subfolders to apply the change to the selected folder and all of its subfolders.
Note: For help identifying permission icons, please refer to the 'Permission Icons' section in this permission guide.
To hide folders from individual users, you must create a new group, move the user to that group, and then hide the folder from the newly created group.
For migrated projects (created before 2015), please see this article for instructions on setting user permissions on folders and documents.
