What’s the difference between accessing Firmex through the app vs. the Firmex website through my mobile browser?
The Firmex VDR for iOS app is optimized for mobile document review and viewing files while offline.
Accessing Firmex through your mobile browser gives you added functionality like viewing reports, adding and removing groups of users, and setting permissions.

Hardware requirements
- iPhone 5 and above
- iPod Touch (5th generation) onwards
- iPad Pro
- iPad 2,3,4, Air and Air 2
- iPad Mini onwards
Older devices, in particular the iPad2 and iPhone4s which are restricted to 512MB RAM supporting the operating system, will affect the performance of the application.
Software requirements
* Note: Due to limited use of the Firmex iOS app, decision was made to pull it from the app store. While the app will continue to function for the limited number of existing users, no new users will be enabled. Firmex reserves the right to deprecate the app altogether, but has chosen at this point in time not to do so.
