On August 8th, 2021 Firmex will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11). We encourage any users of IE 11 to upgrade their browser to the current version of Microsoft Edge or use Chrome or Firefox.
Why was support for IE 11 removed?
On November 30, 2020 Microsoft stopped providing security updates and technical support for Internet Explorer 11 and recommended using Microsoft Edge for improved security and performance. Additionally, Microsoft recently announced that as of June 15, 2022, Internet Explorer 11 will be officially retired and go out of support. Please see this article for more information. Once a browser’s publisher stops supporting it, it becomes very difficult for web services like Firmex to keep doing so.
What will happen if I still use IE 11?
You will still be able to use Firmex using IE 11. However, you may begin to experience a lack of functionality, as well as slower navigation. You'll also be presented with a banner in Firmex reminding you that IE 11 is no longer a supported browser. We expect you will be much happier using a modern browser, as web applications, including but not limited to Firmex, will behave much more crisply and consistently.
Upgrading your browser will not only enhance Firmex’s performance and functionality, but other web applications you use. We encourage you to upgrade before the deadline.
