How do I reset a password? Where is the login page? How do I bulk download? Is there a table of contents?

I can’t upload folders

Symptom

The user can only upload documents, and not folders.

Cause

You are using Internet Explorer without Java installed, or Java is being blocked.

Solution

Use a different browser

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge browsers support uploading folders and documents out of the box. That is, you do not need to install any additional applets or plug-ins to be able to upload folders. Download Google Chrome.

Use the Document Exchange for Desktop

If you cannot install the browsers listed above on your computer, we recommend using the Document Exchange for Desktop. It's a standalone application that supports the uploading of folders without the need of a web browser.

Use the “Very Large Uploads” upload option

If you cannot install the browsers listed above or the Document Exchange for Desktop application on your computer,  you can use the Very Large Uploads option in Internet Explorer to upload folders.

To use the Very Large Uploads uploader, you will need to have a recent version of Java installed and working on your browser. Download Java.

Manually create the folders and then upload documents

You can manually create folders in Firmex and then upload documents to them.
